Hi I’m Meagan! A little about myself and my journey to starting Element Design + Build. I am a licensed interior designer who worked in the commercial interior design world for 6 years prior to opening Element. During my time as a commercial designer I began my own wellness journey incorporating movement, nutrition and mindfulness into my daily routine and began to learn more about holistic health and wellness.

At this time I also discovered the WELL Building Standard which left me highly intrigued. The standard was released in 2014 and researched 7 years prior to that by various health practitioners, scientist and building designers. It monitors the way our interior environments impact human health and well being through 8 concepts. Furthermore I began to do research on the various toxins contained in our homes and studying how homes were being built today. What I found was quite alarming and I knew something had to change and wondered why were were working to improve the health impacts on commercial interiors, but not our homes. There is a disconnect in the way we build our homes and how we live in them and my mission is to bring light to this issue and change the way we build our homes.

I now get to combine my passion for health and interior design and help others achieve a home that optimizes their life!

Our Vision

To change the world by design while positively impacting people and the planet through the built environment.

Our Mission

Combining all Elements of a project, we work together to provide creative design solutions that enhance your quality of life while providing a high standard of workmanship that we are proud to stand behind.

Our Why

Our knowledge of interior design and fitness through education and research opened our eyes and made us question so much about the built environment. We wondered why homes are not built to tend to our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs, goals and behaviors. Our homes are not only a reflection of who we are, but they also have the ability to shape the way we think, feel and act.

Now, more than ever before, we know this is the future of residential interior design and we cannot wait to help transform lives through evidence based design!
